Our lodge distributed over 1,000 emergency blankets throughout Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and northern New Jersey. Brothers carried several pocket-sized blankets and handed them out to those who they saw in need, whether it was in-route to or from work or casually strolling through their neighborhood. These emergency blankets are Space, Mylar designed meant to reduce heat-loss in a person’s body while also being reflective, deflecting the sun during warmer days. Now, the plan is to increase the number of blanket distribution up to 5,000.
For Brethren and members of the public who are not able to make it our communications due to illness, disability, or distance, but
still wish to contribute to a worthy cause, any donations are welcome for the purchase of additional emergency blankets. You can donate via PayPal or send a check or money order to the Secretary. Please indicate on the check or money order that your contribution is going towards the blanket program. Otherwise, the said donation will be allocated towards the Masonic Brotherhood Fund.
