Washington Lodge No. 21 of Free & Accepted Masons
Washington Lodge is a relatively small but venerable, dynamic, resourceful and diverse lodge. There being few others combining all these attributes.

Own a piece of our rich and prestigious history.
Our lodge was chartered over 230 years ago and in that time we have sustained a long tradition of educating our members with moral values and with the importance of philanthropy. Brothers of our lodge took Masonic ideals of individual liberty, democracy and faith among others to nourish entire communities not just their lives. Mathew Livingston Davis, a founding member of our lodge, fought the politics of personal patronage and family dynasty of his time by becoming a close disciple of Aaron Burr, the third vice president of the U.S. Davis was entrusted with Burr’s personal diaries after his death and led a foundational role in what is now called JP Morgan Chase Bank.
More recently, our late brother Todd Myers was a founding organizer of the Masonic Toys for Tots annual gala. Since 1975, the MTT Foundation has generated thousands of dollars every year to support critical blood transfusion needs of many sick children at New York Presbyterian, Weill-Cornell Medical College and The Children’s & Cancer Blood Foundation. Just last year, our lodge distributed over 1,000 emergency blankets throughout Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and northern New Jersey. Brothers carried several pocket-sized blankets and handed them out to those who they saw in need, whether it was in-route to or from work or casually strolling through their neighborhood. These emergency blankets are Space, Mylar designed meant to reduce heat-loss in a person’s body while also being reflective, deflecting the sun during warmer days.
